Mrs. c. A. (Edna Marie) McDowell, 50-year-old Mooreland resident, died Tuesday evening, April 28, in the Woodward Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness
Funeral services were held Friday, May 1, in the Mooreland First Baptist Church with the Rev. Cal Hunter, pastor, officiating. Bural was made in the Mooreland Cemetery under direction of Billings-Knittel Funeral Home.
Edna Marie Jackson was born September 23, 1930, in Woodward, the daughter of Joseph Walter and Ellen Leotice Barnett Jackson. Edna attended school at Curtis and on September 16, 1947, she was married to C. A. "Bid" McDowell in Canadian, Texas. They made their home in Mooreland and she had lived in the Mooreland area all of her life.
Mrs. McDowell was a member of the Mooreland First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bid, of the home; three sons, Duane McDowell and Bobby McDowell, both of Mooreland, and Brent McDowell of the home in Mooreland; one daughter, Mrs. Dale (Darla) Huffman of Mutual; one brother, Richard Jackson of Woodward; one sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Dixie) Ramey of Mooreland; her father, J. W. Jackson of Woodward; her grandfather, Ed Holshuh of Mooreland and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and three brothers.
