Hazel Maye McDowell, 82, resident of Dewey, Oklahoma, died Thursday, August 25, 1994, in the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Mrs. McDowell was born May 17, 1912, at Red Rock, Oklahoma to Frank and Clara Worthen Gonser. She was raised and received her education in the Billings school system.
She married Fred Colt in May, 1930, and he preceded her in death. She married Edgar William McDowell on February 22, 1937 in Mooreland, where they made their home.
They moved to Bartlesville in 1989 and he preceded her death on March 27, 1994. Mrs. McDowell moved to Dewey in May, where she had lived since that time.
Mrs. McDowell was preceded in death by her mother and father, her first husband, Fred Colt; her late husband, Edgar William McDowell, and one brother, Albert Gonser.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna Holloway, of Dewey; one sister, Zaidee Hill of Forgan; one granddaughter, Sharon Eden; two grandsons, Edgar Holloway and Jimmy Dale Holloway; one great grandduaghter; five great grandsons; one great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements and cremation are under direction of Stumpff Funeral Home of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
