Florence L. Kain of Higgins Lake, formerly of Lansing died Aug. 5, 2006, at her home.
A service was held Aug. 8 at Christler Funeral Home–Houghton Lake Chapel. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Higgins Lake. Memorial contributions may be directed to Mercy Hospice, Grayling.
Mrs. Kain was born to Clive L. and Irene R. (Mickle) Peters in Lansing Oct. 8, 1943. She moved to Higgins Lake in 1995. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her family, especially her granddaughter Kassidy. She also enjoyed her cats and dogs and her motor home trips to Texas in the winter.
Surviving are her husband, Lawrence; son Lawrence T. and granddaughter Kassidy. She is also survived by a sister, Jean Church of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
