Lloyd J. R. Adams, 86, of Fort Gibson, was born August 1, 1929 in Muskogee, OK, the son of Roy and Thelma Lee (Burton) Adams and died Monday, January 4, 2016 at Muskogee.

On December 14, 1952 he married Anna Jean Bolinger in Muskogee. Lloyd served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Prior to retirement, he worked at Acme Engineering in Muskogee. He was a member of V.F.W. and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Jean, of the home; son, Clinton Adams and wife, Vicki, of Braggs; daughters, Karen Hayes and husband, Don, of Fort Gibson, Gwyn Johnson and husband, Garner, of Braggs, Arlene Abel and husband, Alan, of Wagoner; sister, Frances Close of Fort Gibson; six grandchildren, Eric Adams, Micah Adams, Jeremy Hayes, Amanda Johnson, Alyssa Johnson, and Alaina White; five great-grandchildren, Ethan Hayes, Landon Hayes, Parker Hayes, Denise Adams, and Shawn Adams; numerous other friends and loved ones.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leon Adams of Texas, and Don Close of Wagoner.

Funeral services for will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Community Gospel Center in Fort Gibson with Reverend Don Landers and Reverend Don Hayes officiating. Burial will be at South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, OK.
