Charles J. Ricke, Jr., 87, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on December 31, 2015. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 8, 2016, at Hunters Glen Baptist Church, 4100 Custer Rd., Plano, Texas. Interment will follow in Dobbs Valley Cemetery, 734 Dobbs Valley Road, Mineral Wells, Texas.

Charles was born in Galveston, Texas, to the late Charles Joseph Ricke, Sr. and Mildred Florence (Beckway) Ricke. Charles married Margene Chestnut on June 22, 1974 in Santo, Texas. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked for Texas Instruments for 38 years. Charles was a member of Hunters Glen Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. He was active in Gideons International for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margene, on February 9, 2009; and brother, Kenneth Eugene Ricke.

Survivors include his daughter, Amy Fitzpatrick and husband, James, of Richardson, Texas; son, Charles J. "Joe" Ricke, III and wife, Charlotte, of Newport News, Virginia; step-children, Jill Graham, of Hickory, North Carolina, and Greg Keeney, of Ft Worth, Texas; grandchildren: Janey, Jennifer, Sarah, Helen, Ryan, Allie, Clark, Katie, Chris; great-grandchildren: Reece, Morgan, Ethan, Hayden, Logan, Tatum, Sawyer, Zachary, Aliyah; sister, Doris Elaine Heimann; other relatives and many friends.
