Elaine Janet Ziegler was born on September 11, 1922 in Chicago to Emil and Ruth (nee Dittman) Schuett. She died Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Ziegler was a United States Navy Veteran of WW II. Elaine worked as an executive secretary for General Cable Corporation in Des Plaines. She was an active church, hospital volunteer and American Cancer Society Reach to Recovery volunteer for many years. Elaine loved to spend time with her family and was loved by all.
Elaine is survived by her children, David (Patricia) Ziegler and Marjorie Ziegler; grandchildren, Keith (Kelly) Eickenhorst, Heather (Don) Lewis, and Marcus (Danni) Eickenhorst; and 7 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth (the late Ray) Hankner.
She was preceded in death by husband, Alwin William Ziegler; and her parents.
In-State 9:00 am Tuesday, June 16, 2015 until the 10:30 am Funeral Service at Chapel of St. John the Beloved, Lutheran Home and Services, 800 West Oakton Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment is at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie.
