Memorial service: 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Avenue L Baptist Church, 3500 Avenue L, Fort Worth. Sandra was born in Paris, Texas, on May 30, 1946, to the late Harold Hobbs and the late Charlene Hogan. She was a member of Avenue L Baptist Church for many years. Sandra was a loving, compassionate, caring person, wise beyond her years. She never met a stranger and always put others above herself. Sandra was once involved in the nursing home ministry with her daughters, singing and praising God's word. She loved that part of her life: to be able to uplift, praise and worship with others. Her greatest source of strength for any situation was the armor of God. She truly lived by her faith. She has left behind a legacy that will carry on for many generations to come. No more pain and no more tears, as she has been healed. Survivors: Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Melody Miles, Rhonda Elliott, Frankie Jayroe and Tina Sutton; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Donna Holloway, Beverly Derring and Ronnie Hobbs; and many other relatives and friends.
