Governor of the Northern Mariana Islands. He served as Governor of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands from February 20, 2013 to his death on December 28, 2015. He earned his college degree at the University of Guam before working as a tax manager for the now defunct Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands's revenue division and also in private industry. Inos was elected in 1990 to the First Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council and served until 1992. He was appointed Secretary of Finance by Governor Benigno Fitial and served in this position from 2006 to 2009. In 2009 Inos was appointed lieutenant governor by Governor Fitial after the previous office holder was convicted on federal fraud charges and re-elected along with the governor in the 2009 election. He became governor on February 20, 2013 after Governor Fitial was impeached and forced to resign. Inos, a Republican, was elected in 2014 to a full four-year term and served until his death, which was a post-operative complication.
