Neil was a member of the Michigan Sheep Breeders Association and very active in 4-H and was well known throughout the United States for his judging. Neil loved the farm, minor breed animals, and enjoyed music. He was a wealth of information when you needed it. He loved all kinds of animals.
He was an employee of Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes where he gave his all to serve the families he worked with. Neil attended Eden United Brethren Church and Perry Baptist Church.
Neil was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Connie Sue (Green) Kentner and his mother, Donalee Kentner.
He is survived by his son, Justin Drew Kentner; daughter Hannah Zatslocki and his father Carl P. Kentner; brother, Lynn (Edie) Kentner; sisters Nancy Thane and Shirl (Tom) Streukens and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service was held Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Eden United Brethren Church, Mason, MI. Milan Maybee officiated, and Margaret Maybee played the organ. Graveside Service was January 2, 2016 at the Constantine Township Cemetery. Pall bearers were Scott Kentner, Hunter Thane, Lee Powell, Curtis Powell, Bill Koppel, Barry Link.
