DEWEY BOHANNON Dewey L. Bohannon, son of Robert and Anna Van Stavern Bohannon, was born near Agnes, Mo. June 12, 1898 and died September 16, 1972 at Springfield, Mo. On June 22, 1930 he was married to Lois Chambers, who preceded him in death November 17, 1961. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Dora Mae Harlamert, of Hartville; and several nieces and nephews. Dewey taught school for many years in his home community and other areas in Missouri. White attending college he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1918. Following his discharge he continued his education, later serving as an educator in many capacities, the last being a Counselor for Vocational Rehabilitation for the Springfield Society Security office. Graveside services were held Monday, September 18,1972 at 2 p.m. at the City Cemetery in Lebanon with the Rev. Dale Hufft officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Holman Funeral Home.
