CREVE COEUR ~ Mary Frances Adams, 88, of 548 Dempsey Street, passed away at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria.

Born August 21, 1918 in Williamsville to John Robert and Amanda Frances (Blanset) Haycraft, she married George W. Phillips in June, 1940 at St. Charles, Missouri. She later married Othel "Jack" Adams on December 30, 1950 in Pekin. He died March 30, 2004 in Creve Coeur. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, George Alan Phillips on September 28, 1967; five brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Barbara S. (Dennis) and Terry L. (Steve), both of Creve Coeur; three grandchildren, Bethany S. (Stan) of Burbank, Calif., Amber L. of Chicago and Amy L. of Ft. Madison, Iowa; and one sister, Alta (Barry) of Oregon.

Mary worked for Armour Packing Company in Peoria for 23 years, retiring in 1976.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel. The Rev Tom Pisano will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fon du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria.
