Donald J. "Donnie" Scalf, 52, 321 Wade Bulla Road, Watauga, died Sunday, August 27, 2006, at the residence of his mother following an extended illness.
Mr. Scalf was a native of Carter County and the son of Wanda O'Quinn Scalf, Watauga, and the late James Landon Scalf.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
Mr. Scalf attended Cripple Creek Free Will Baptist Church.
He was employed at Fleming Food until 1998 when the company closed, and was also a roofer.
One of the joys of his life was visiting with people.
Survivors include a son, a daughter and son-in-law, a brother and sister-in-law, six grandchildren, one nephew, one niece, and his ex-wife.
Interment will follow at Scalf Cemetery, Watauga.
