GRACE IRENE ABERNATHY, 85, of Decatur, Ala., died Dec 8, 1992, in Decatur. She worked in Civil Service at Ft Carson before retiring.
A funeral mass will be held at 9am, Saturday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2318 N Cascade Ave, with the Rev. Gerald Bruggeman officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Abernathy was born April 5, 1907, in Fowler to James K and Sophie Marie (Suden) Couch.
She was married to J. Roy Abernathy, who is deceased.
Mrs. Abernathy is also survived by a son, Jan L. of Falkville, Alabama; a daughter Luana Dee Klippen of Colorado Springs; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
