The body of Mrs. Sarah Ellen Rebstock, 64, wife of Earl Rebstock of the Dripping Springs community, north of West Plains, MO died Friday morning in the Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis, MO, was brought back to West Plains and was cared for by the Robertson Funeral Home here until Sunday when it was taken to the family home. Funeral services were held in the Dripping Springs Church Sunday afternoon with the Rev. James O. Davis, Koshkonong in charge.
Burial was in the Dripping Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Rebstock, who had been ill for sometime suffering from a severe liver ailment was taken to St. Louis about two weeks ago and under went a serious abdominal operation twenty hours before her death. She was a native of Howell County, having been born here April 6, 1881.
Before her marriage, she was Miss Sarah Ellen Scribner. Her first husband was John "Tucker" Hall who died September 1938; she was married to Earl Rebstock, August 8, 1942.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters and three sons. Mrs. Esko Green, West Plains; Mrs. Ephraim Coble, Pottersville; Jack Hall, St. Louis; Jim Hall, Springfield; Mrs. James Nolte, West Plains; Mrs. Wray Goss, Mountain View; and Melvin Hall of West Plains. Also a daughter-in-law Mrs. Martha Hall of Pomona. Three brothers and two sisters survive, including Mrs. Lizzie Stockstill of Springfield, MO. Her husband and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jack Hall, St. Louis were with her when she passed away.
