Jason Paul Gagne of Needham, a video engineer for New England Sports Network and Fox New England telecasts, died Monday. He was 32.

Born in Needham, he had lived there all his life. He graduated from Needham High School in 1991 and wasa member of the football team. He also attended Massachusetts Bay Community College.

Mr. Gagne worked as a master control operator for Boston Catholic TV, a camera operator for WABU TV 68 and attended the 2003 Salt Lake City Olympics as a video engineer for World Feed. He also traveled with the USA Soccer team to Trinidad, Panama, Jamaica and Grenada as a video engineer for the World Cup qualifying matches. He was a video enginner for NESN and FOX New England telecasts for more than 10 years.

An avid fisherman, he won the NCBA Bass Fishing tournament three years in a row and always loved Harley Davidson bikes and could be seen driving his custom 1997 Fatboy to Fenway Park for NESN games.

Mr. Gagne is survived by his mother, Kristine (Bryden) Gagne of Needham; his father, James and his stepmother Nancy of Medford; his grandmothers, Charlotte Gagne of Somersworth, N.H., and Janina S. Bryden of New Bedford; a brother, James of Millis; a sister, Stephanie Gagne of Sharon; his girlfriend, Kim Bernier of Medfield; and longtime friend and coworker Steven Joyal of Needham; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Needham Congregational Church, Needham.

Burial will be in Needham Cemetery, Needham.
