On December 7, 2015 at 4:30 a.m. at his home in Seminole, Florida, Kim left our world surrounded by family and friends, who will miss him dearly. Slim's friends and their now grown children have a multitude of stories about the great times and adventures they had with him.
Kim was pre-deceased by his parents, Paul and Mildred Gillien and sister, Kathleen Hawkins. He is survived by aunts, Dawn Knisel, Maumee, Ohio, and Bridget Demaline of Arizona and 18 cousins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday December 15th from 2 to 8 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora where a Mass of Resurrection will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Michael Dandurand presiding. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's CWV Post 306, Metamora-Amboy Fire Department or Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
We have to end with a final "Slim-ism". Why can't we all just get along? Kim/Slim you left a gaping hole in the lives of everyone he touched.
