Annie Viola Robinson was born September 28, 1932 in Poteau, Oklahoma and went home to her Lord on December 3, 2015 at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 4 days.

Ms.Vi was raised in the Wister-LeFlore area where she met the long love of her life James Robinson. They married on the 6th of April, 1951, in Poteau, Oklahoma. In 1953 they moved to Bakersfield, California where they established a home for their two young daughters, After seventeen years of California life, they felt the call to return to their Oklahoma roots by moving to Talihina in 1969. At that time, James set himself to provide for his family by establishing himself as a dependable, hard-working employee of the city of Talihina. Ms. Vi immediately set herself to creating and building a warm, loving household for her family, a task she cherished for forty-six years. During her early Talihina years, she was well-known as the "Lady Butcher" at the Talihina Gin Store. Later, she made countless friends across the community while working at the Talihina Day Care. For many years, Ms.Vi and James enjoyed having lunch with friends at the Choctaw Nation Community Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Eva Green of Wister, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, James of the home. Vi and James were blessed with two daughters: Margaret and husband Paul Pope of Talihina, Oklahoma; Jimmye and husband David Stroup of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Seven grandchildren: James Ray Pope, Keith and wife Jennifer Pope, Stephanie Pope, Tiffanie Pope, Aaron and wife Kendra Pope, Andrew Stroup, Keith and wife Brittany Stroup. Six great grandchildren: Mikayla Pearson, Austin Pope, Jasmine Pope, Autumn Pope-Lindsey, Andrew Jackson and Chole Jackson.

Services will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015, 2 p.m. at the Talihina Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Brent Smith officiating.
