Albert Victor Astbury was one of 12 children born to James Thomas and Eliza Fairhead Glover Astbury in England. He and his wife, Eleanor Evans Astbury, immigrated to Canada in 1906 following their marriage in England. After 2 years, they immigrated to Joliet, Illinois in 1908, after the birth of their first daughter, Doris Eleanor. They were blessed with two more children, a daughter, Lillian Alberta, in 1909 and a son, Albert John, in 1912. He was survived by his three children and 6 granchildren as well as all of his 11 siblings in England (to our knowledge).
