Edward A. Dmoch, 56, of 364 Stafford Ave., died yesterday at his home after a short illness.
A life resident of Syracuse, he was a communicant of Transfiguration Church. He was employed by the Carrier Corporation.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Kowalewski; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Wisowaty; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Till and Mrs. Irene Magdziuk; a brother Sigmund Dmoch; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at a time to be announced Saturday in Transfiguration Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Labacz Funeral Home, 616 Teall Ave.

Parents were Alice (maiden name unknown) and Walter Dmoch (b. October 10, 1888 - d. July 1968). Resided at 401 Boyden Street during his youth.
Served as a PFC in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Edward is buried in Section 9B of Assumption Cemetery.

One brother, T. Sgt. Theodore S. Dmoch (Service #12201499), died in action on March 18, 1944 over France during World War II while serving in the 576th Bomb Squadron, 392th Bomb Group, as a crew member on board a B-24 Liberator Bomber. Initially reported as Missing in Action, it was later determined that he died as a result of a collision of two aircraft.
A second brother, Sigmund "Ziggy" T. Dmoch (b. April 5, 1920 - d. October 30, 2013). Sigmund was a resident of Eastwood, NY, and was married to Alice (nee Andrezjewski, b. Aug 5, 1916 - d. Mar, 1985). He was a Seaman 1/c in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served in the South Pacific on the Destroyer USS Isherwood (DD-520) as a fire control man.
