Louise Bancroft
Mrs. Louise Bancroft, 89, formerly of 3205 S. Fourth St. and Auburn, died at 4:25 p.m. Monday at Springfield Community Hospital.
Born in Newansville, Mrs. Bancroft was the daughter of John and Dena Ritterbush Schmidt. Her husband Isaac Russell Bancroft, died Feb. 7, 1949, and she also was preceded in death by two sons, Paul and Lloyd, two brothers, John and William Schmidt. Mrs. Bancroft was a member of Southern View Chapel in Springfield.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Marie Jacobs of Rochester, one son, Bernard of Auburn; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Southern View Chapel in Springfield, with the Rev. E.R. Hellyer officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.
Berry Funeral Home, Auburn, is in charge of arrangements.
