Alexander Edgar Tolmie, 19, left this world Monday, August 21, 2006 as a result of injuries which he received in a tragic accident. Alex, a loving free spirit, was born on November 30, 1986. Alex is a 2004 graduate of Guilderland High School, and he completed a certificate program in auto mechanics at HVCC. Alex attained the rank of Life Scout in Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed working as a mechanic at Northeast Accura in Latham. Alex excelled in BMX biking and loved to spend time engaging in extreme activities. He is the beloved son of Susan and Edgar Tolmie of Altamont; dear brother of Zachary and Abraham Tolmie, also of Altamont; nephew of uncles, Eric and Charles Tolmie, James and Robert Sewall and aunts, Kathy Sewall and Mary (Sewall) Lopas; and Alex loves Lisa. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Alex enriched the lives of those for whom he cared, and was, in turn, enriched by those who cared for him. His legacy is ours forever.
