Frederick L. "Louie" Knudsen, age 95, of Council Bluffs passed away Saturday, November 21, at his residence.

Louie was born on May 6, 1920 in Council Bluffs to the late Louis and Alma (Petersen) Knudsen.

Louie served his country in the US Army during World War II.

He married Barbara Harter on July 6, 1941. They were blessed with two sons and three daughters.

He owned and operated Knudsen Auto for many years . He was a member of VFW Post 6256 in Logan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Knudsen in 1996; son, Bobby Knudsen; brothers and sisters.

Left with memories are his children and their spouses, 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great- granddaughter; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral Service 1 pm Wednesday at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer- Woodring Funeral Home, Bayliss Park Chapel, 545 Willow Avenue, Council Bluffs, Iowa with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Memorials suggested to VFW Post 6256.
