Laura was the wife of Charles Duffield. Daughter of Albert Peterson and Lenora Hammel from Norway. The family changed their name to "Lym" after the town they came from. When they arrived at Ellis Island, they found that there were already too many family's with the name "Peterson" so they changed it to Lym. She grew up in Owatonna Minnesota. She moved to Montana in 1916 and lived with Sam and Jessie Duffield. She was a school teacher at Fairview School. She met Charles and they were married on July 8th 1917 in Minnesota. She was the Mother of 4 children, Mildred, Margaret, Arthur, Robert. In 1936 they moved to Jocko Valley in Western Montana. A few years later they moved to Raymond Washington. After Charles passed away in 1955, she moved to California to live with a Sister where she passed in 1968.
