In Lawrence County, Alabama on October 19, 1869, George M. ADAIR married Martha Tabitha ENGLAND Welch Hooper, widow of William Rufus HOOPER, including her Hooper children.

After the death of his father Hiram Adair, Estate court records lists names of Hiram'a widow Elizabeth and Children, including son George Adair. (see below)

William Eubank, Sheriff of Laurence county, and as such adm'r Ex Officio with the Will annexed of Hiram Adair, dec'd.

VS: Petit'n to sell land Hiram Adair Heirs. came the Plaintiff as administrator with the Will annexed of the Estate of Hiram Adair, decd, and filed his Petition under oath, setting forth that the personal property of said Testato is insufficient for the payment of the just debts due and owing by Testator at the time of his death; and prays a Decree of Court authorizing him to sell the following described land, which he alleges Testator died seized and possessed of, for the payment of his just debts, th

Petitioner further represents that the following Named persons are the heirs and distributees of Testator, to wit: Elizabeth Adair; widow of Testator, who resides in Lawrence co., Ala., and claims dower in said described land; Thomas Adair, who resides in Lawrence county, Ala., who is ver the age of 21 years; -- Albert Adair, George Adair, Hiram Adair, Margaret E. Adair and Wm W. Adair, who also resides in Lawrence county, Ala., and are minors under the age of 21 years.

It is therefore Ordered that the 2 d Monday in April next be set for the final hering of said Petiotion; that citations issue as to the said Elizabeth Adair, widow of Testator, and the said Thomas Adair, to bring them in to Court, that Isaac N. Owen be appointed Guardian Ad Litem of said Minor heirs to guard their interest on the final hearing of said Petition, and the he be notified accordingly; and that publication be made in the Moulton Democrat a newspaper published in the town of Moulton for Forty Days, requiring all persons interested therein to appear and contest if they choose.
