Miss Mary Nelda Estill, 21, daughter of Mrs. Eula Estill of Lynn, died shortly after arriving at [Blake-Manasco] Hospital late Saturday night. Miss Estill and Miss Lawana Hood, with other frieds, were reported to have been walking near a stalled auto in which they had been riding, on the Lynn-Double Springs road, when they were hit.
Another car had stopped to aid the group in the stalled vehicle when the car driven by [Clyde] McGough came along. He told officers that headlights were on, on one car, and one light was shining on the other parked vehicle. As he attempted to go around the cars the women were hit, he said.

Surviving are the mother, Mrs. Eula Estill; three brothers, Amos, Andrew and Fred Estill; two sisters, Mrs. Velma Brown and Miss Thelma Estill.
