Lena M. Lopez, 96, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2006 in a local hospital. She was born on May 5, 1910 in Edna, Texas to Gabriel Mora and Ventura Nava.
Lena is preceded in death by her husband, Vicente Lopez and a son Alejandro Lopez.
She is survivied by her children, Alejandro's wife, Belia Lopez, Vicente (Frances) Lopez, Lionel (Juanita) Lopez, Dolores (Homero) Salinas, Alicia (Ernesto) Garza & Mary (Ruben) Mendez. She is also survived by her siblings, Lupe Valdez, Gabriel Mora & Lupe Mora. 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren also survive her.
A public visitation and rosary were held July 30 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass was celebrated July 31 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment followed at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
