"Larry Maynard Johnson, the son of Maynard M. & Hazel P. (Larsen) Johnson, was born 19 July 1938 in Bellingham, Whatcom County, Washington. He died on 8 August 2003, at his home. He graduated from Ferndale High School and served 3 years in the army.

"He retired from Carpenter's Local #756 after 37 years and was a member of the Whatcom County Substance Abuse Advisory Board from 1998 to 2001. His interests included breeding and raising horses and growing beautiful flowers.

"He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother (Marvin). He is survived by his wife, two sons, a stepdaughter and stepson, three grandsons, three granddaughters, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends."
