Rita Mae Therese Abadie passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 in Metatire, LA. She was a native of Homeplace, LA and a resident of Jefferson Parish. She was a graduate from Annunciation High School in New Orleans, employed by Curtin Matheson Scientific Inc. for 34 years and then Industrial Chemical Supply Company. Beloved daughter of the late Ferdinand Abadie and Pauline Pourtalet Abadie. Sister of the late Reynold J. Abadie, Sr. (Eugenie) and Carroll F. Abadie, Sr. (Ursula). Beloved aunt of Gaynell, Angela, Lisa, Carroll Jr. "Butch", Reynold Jr. "Rey", Wayne, Terry and Tommy. She also was survived by a host of great nieces and nephews. She was a parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society. In the words of our aunt "See you sweetie". Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3310 Jefferson Hwy. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM at the Church. Interment will follow in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery No. 2. Arrangements by L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home.
