He had worked for the CB&Q Railroad in the small community of Gibson which was located ajacent to the Missouri River and the large CB&Q freight yard and 'Rip' track.
He died in the Veteran's Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. Cause of death was a CVA, i.e. a stroke, following a long bout with high blood pressure.
