My father was born in Omaha. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Antonia and Alois Svach. He was survived by his wife, Emma Mollie Lesovky Svach and two children, Louis and Mary. He was also survived by a sister, Marie Svach Baker, whose grave marker is adjacent to his grave marker in this cemetery.

He had worked for the CB&Q Railroad in the small community of Gibson which was located ajacent to the Missouri River and the large CB&Q freight yard and 'Rip' track.

He died in the Veteran's Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. Cause of death was a CVA, i.e. a stroke, following a long bout with high blood pressure.
