Minnie Law Jenkins Abbott Merideth, 95, of Bells, formerly of Greenville; Tucson, Ariz.; Coleman, Commerce and Lake Tawakoni, died Monday at her residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robbie Caldwell officiating. Burial is in Forest Park Cemetery.

The daughter of John William Jenkins and Lenorah Kitching Jenkins, she was born in Hooker Ridge near Lone Oak on July 14, 1904. She married Roy Columbus Abbott on March 26, 1923 in Greenville; he preceded her in death in 1955. She married Victor Merideth in June 1986 in Greenville and he died in 1993.

She was a homemaker and worked as a cook for Dr. Phillip’s Hospital in Greenville and nursing homes in Bells and Tucson, Ariz. She was a Baptist and a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a son, Derwood Columbus Abbott of Henderson; four daughters, Juanita Jackson of Coleman, Wilma Strickland of Tucson, Ariz., Wanda Greer of Commerce and Doris Pearson of Tyler; 17 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; a son, Wayne Abbott in 1996 and a grandson, Tracy Greer.
