Caroline A. "Pud" Daylor, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 25, 2015. She was the beloved wife of Charles V. Daylor, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia on June 27, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Sophie Litton Saylor. Caroline was a life-long resident of Downingtown. She graduated from Downingtown High School in 1949. Employed by the Pepperidge Farm Division of Campbell Soup for 22 years, she retired as the Cafeteria Supervisor in 1991.
Caroline enjoyed music, shopping, pinochle, old movies, family picnics and trips to the Jersey Shore. Her happiest times were those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son and three daughters: Emily M. Duca (Frank D.) of Glenmoore, Patricia A. Riley of Coatesville, Charles V. Daylor Jr (Nancy) of Coatesville, and Susan L. Labiak (Edward Jr.) of Parkesburg. Six grandchildren: Frank D. Duca Jr, Stacy Duca Milone (Michael), Michelle Duca Marovich (Daniel), Charles B. Daylor (Lisa), Shey Labiak D'Angelo (Anthony), and Edward P. Labiak III; eight great-grandchildren: Katelynn Duca; Saylor, Reese, Nicholas, & Maisie Milone; Miles & Max Marovich; and Chace Daylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Caroline was predeceased by her brother, Daniel Saylor, her sister Emily Tocydlowski, and a son-in-law, Robert R. Riley.
A liturgy service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 30 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown where family and friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
