A husband, father, and son, Larry was a kind, loving, and funny individual. Larry worked as a chiropracter at his self established family firm. He was community oriented and was constantly involved in charity work. He helped the local firemen, city employees, policemen and any other one who needed his help - be it human or animal.
He was adored and loved by his children and can be described as "young at heart." His two girls Lauren and Jenna were his world and he loved spending time with them.
Larry was an avid hockey player. Every Friday night, you would find him and his buddies at the local hockey rink. His favorite CFL football team was the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He always managed to celebrate the Grey Cup with an annual gathering of friends since a young age up until this past year. It wouldn't matter where in the world these 25 men lived, they all gathered in solidarity for their favorite team.
He was a beloved member of Living Hope Lutheran Church in Acworth, was a member of the Acworth Business Association, and a member of the Jaycees.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Christine McCartney; daughters Lauren Christina McCartney and Jenna Marie McCartney, both of Acworth, Georgia; mother Irene Shewchuk McCartney of Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada; sister Janice Reich and her husband Roger, of Tyndall Manitoba, Canada; and nephews Jesse Reich and Preston Reich of Tyndall Manitoba Canada.
