. J. Dundore, in failing health, for the past three or four years due to a complication of diseases, died Saturday night at 12 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. D. I. Suter, at Timberville, at the age of seventy-nine years.

The deceased was well-known throughout Rockingham County where he was born and raised and was a Confederate veteran, having served all through the war between the States, surrendering his arms at Appomattox. After the war he took a great interest in agriculture being a prosperous for many years, retiring only a few years ago.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. D. I. Suter; and one son, B. Grattan Dundore of Santa Puria?, California. Among the surviving nephew is C. L. Dundore, who is connected with the First National Bank in this city.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock from the Mount Horeb Church at Hinton by Rev. H. R. Borthwlck, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Bridgewater. Interment will be made in the cemetery near the church. The pallbearers will be P. J. Suter, E. J. Suter, Eugene Suter, C. L. Dundore, J. B. Dundore and G. G. Bowman.
