Brandy Jarrells, 19, of Monticello, died Friday, March 4, 2005, in Oil City, Louisiana, as the result of an automobile-train accident. She was a native of Crossett and a resident of Monticello for the past two years. A homemaker; she graduated from Hamburg High School in 2003 and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

She is survived by a son, Trajan "Trey" Brown of Monticello; a daughter, Selena Brown, who died shortly after her mother; her parents, Debbie Cole Brown of Crossett and Michael Jarrells of Brazoria, TX; her companion, Kenny Brown of Monticello; her maternal grandparents, Robert "Buster" and Martha Cole of Crossett; and Ed Jarrells of Sweeney, TX; a brother, Robert Cole Brown; a sister, April Jarrells, both of Crossett; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Etta Jarrells; her great-grandparents, Arthur and Evelyn Cole and Edna Bauers and a cousin, Martin W. (Trey) Kirsten.

Funeral services were 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Jody Gannaway officiating. Burial was in the Old Crossett (Lakewood)Cemetery. Pallbearers included Terry Lancaster, Tim Smith, Charlie Keen, Daniel Shelton, Jacob Smith, Curtis Hollins, Golden Lancaster and Aundra Brown. Honorary pallbearers were Jeffrey Taylor, Shamar Brown, Wade Vail, Derrick Vail and Bill Murray, Jr.
