Ames, 21, of Cerulean, Ky.; was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), Fort Lewis, Wash.; He died Aug. 31 of non-combat-related injuries in Mosul, Iraq. Jason is the son of Irl Wayne and Susan Arlene Yingst Ames; he was the husband of Trisha Ames; the father of Cody Eric Ames; the brother of Carlton Ames and Krystal Dawn Knight; he leaves behind maternal grandparents, James and Kay Yingst, a paternal grandmother, Norma Ames. He graduated in 2003 from Trigg County High School in Cadiz, Kentucky joined the United States Army in June 2003; he was an infantryman deployed to Iraq in October, 2004, bravely supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
