Marie L. DeKezel, 94, of Moline, passed away Saturday October 10, 2015 at Unity Point Trinity, Rock Island.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Sacred Heart Church, Moline. Visitation will be 4 - 6pm Wednesday at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, Moline with a Christian Wake service at 4pm. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials can be made to Sacred Heart Church.
Marie was born July 17, 1921 in Moline, the daughter of Frank and Anna (VanBunne) Callant. She married Hector “Tony” DeKezel on May 3, 1941 in Moline.
Marie worked in sales at various Quad City stores. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Moline Community Center, CASI, Quad City Plus 60 and enjoyed traveling, dancing and playing cards.
Survivors include her husband, Tony; grandchildren, Brian, James Jr. (Allison), Jessica (Chad) Finch and daughter-in-law, Kathy DeKezel (Tim Agy) and great grandchildren, Eryke, Austin, Emma, Mason, William, Evelyn, Jenna and Lydia. She was preceded in death by her son, James.
