QUEENSBURY -- Francess B. "Sandy" Baldwin, 81, of West Mountain Road in Queensbury passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2010.

Sandy was born on Nov. 6, 1928, in Glens Falls, the daughter of the late Henry J. "Harry" and Rose Coon.

She was predeceased by her sister, Kathleen Oliver, her brother, John Coon and her brother, Henry Coon who died serving his country in World War II.

She married Charles W. "Bubby" Baldwin of Glens Falls on May 8, 1949. Sandy and Bubby celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary last spring.

As a young woman she worked at the Woolworth store in Glens Falls.

After marrying and raising four children, Sandy worked as a florist and for many years baked elegant wedding cakes.

She loved having company, playing games, shopping for antiques and baking.

In addition to her parents and all her siblings, Sandy was predeceased by her son, Charles H. "Hoopy" Baldwin, who passed away on Feb. 14, 2009.

Arrangements by the Maynard Baker Funereal Home 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.

Burial will take place at the St. Mary's Cemetery, Main Street, South Glens Falls, immediately following the service.
