Albert L. Reid Sr.
PETERSBURG - Albert L. "Squirrel" Reid Sr., 66, of Petersburg died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at his home.
He was born Sept. 8, 1935, in Springfield, the son of Jesse and Mary Clayton Reid. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Reid, and a son, Joseph Reid.
Mr. Reid formerly worked for Homeier Dairy and then as a mechanic for Standard Concrete Pipe. He later owned and operated his own garage.
Survivors: six sons, Albert Reid Jr., Chris (wife, Nancy) Reid and Shane (wife, Kim) Reid, all of Springfield, Terry (wife, Cathy) Reid of Berry, Luke (wife, Nicki) Reid of Athens and Jake Reid of Petersburg; three daughters, Pam (husband, Paul) Noga of Cantrall, Brenda (husband, Doug) Johnson of Virden and Angie (husband, Kevin) Knoles of Salisbury; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several brothers; several sisters; several nieces and nephews; and companion, Rita Richno of Petersburg.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services: 3:30 p.m. today, Salisbury Christian Church.
