Mrs. Janis Rae King Leach

Mrs. Janis Rae King Leach was born on December 15, 1941 in Trimble County, Kentucky up School Hollow Road. She was the loving daughter of the late, Everett and Annette Banks King. She was raised in Trimble County and was a 1960 graduate of Trimble County High School. She married her sweetheart, the Rev. Robert G. Leach on May 11, 1962 at the Milton Baptist Church in Milton, Kentucky. This happy union of fifty three years was blessed with a daughter, Leanne and sons, Greg, Steve and Jeremy. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandma and homemaker. She entered a full-time pastoral ministry with her husband in 1970, and together, they have faithfully served for the past 45 years. She began her ministry in the church with her husband at the Norfolk Holiness Church on Corn Creek in Trimble County. She has given her entire life to the work of the Lord, including 34 years of excellent service to the Madison Pilgrim Holiness Church. Janis had served as the church conference Registrar for approximately 32 years. She has influenced and served in the Pilgrim Family Camp and the Pilgrim Youth Camp for well over 30 years. The church conference made a statement about Sister Leach, "What a Love She Shared! What a Life She Lived! and What A Legacy She has Left". Janis was the owner of Ohio Valley Excavating in Madison since 2005, providing services to many in the area. She had also worked early in life at the Trimble County High School helping to prepare meals in the cafeteria. Janis enjoyed being a nanny and did private in home child-care, caring for some area children throughout their childhood and education. Janis's most important life's work was her family and helping others in need. She was a woman of great integrity, organization and the care she provided to the youth of our area was inspirational. Janis enjoyed reading, devotions, praying and giving. Janis went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 7:20 p.m. at her home surrounded by her family. Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:30

A LOVING FAMILY
Sister Leach will be missed by her loving husband of fifty three years, The Rev. Robert G. Leach of Madison, Indiana; her loving daughter, Leanne Zeigler and her husband, John of Shoals, Indiana; her loving sons, Greg Leach and his wife, Lori of Madison, Indiana, Steve Leach and his wife, Kim of Madison, Indiana, Jeremy Leach and his wife, Emilie of Covington, Kentucky; her adoring grandchildren
; her loving sisters, Mary Helen McClure and her husband, Ralph of Madison, Indiana, Nadine Jones and her husband, Bob of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Judi Boldery and her husband, Elston of Hanover, Indiana, Sherry Dunaway of Milton, Kentucky; her brother in law, Michael Leach and his wife, Rose of Dupont, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Everett King, her mother, Annette Banks King, her sisters, Alta Virginia "Sis" King Crain and Wayva Jane King Bladen, her brothers, Jackson King and Lawrence Allen King, and her grandson, Jacob Leach, died in February 2009.

HOME GOING SERVICE
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 10, 2015, at 4:00 p.m, at the North Madison Christian Church, 1400 East State Road 62 in Madison, Indiana. Private family graveside sercives will be held on Sunday in the Springdale Cemetery, 600 West Fifth Street in downtown Madison, Indiana

VISITATION
Friends may call Friday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana and Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the North Madison Christian Church, 1400 East State Road 62 in Madison, Indiana.
