THE COLONY, Texas Matthew R. DeRizzo, 43, died suddenly August 7, 2006 in The Colony. He was born on December 16, 1962, the son of Marilyn and Bart DeRizzo of Brewster. Born in Schenectady, N.Y., he graduated from Mohonasen High School and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany. He was a certified public accountant. He was a self employed computer consultant and a stock trader. Matt had many and varied interests, including woodworking, koi pond construction, landscaping and cooking. He loved sports and especially loved playing basketball. Survivors include two brothers, Stephen and wife Cathy of Arlington, Texas and Christopher and wife Barbara of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Also nieces and nephews, Angela and husband Mike Vessels, Jeremy, Heather, Jack, Luke and Charles DeRizzo. Survivors also include aunts, uncles, cousins and friends around the country. His visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2006 from 4-6 p.m. in the Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, Mass. His funeral will be held on Monday, August 14, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. from the Nickerson Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Cape Church, Stoney Brook Road, Brewster, Mass. His burial will be in Brewster Memorial Cemetery, Brewster. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Dana-Farber Institute, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115
