HODGES
Noah W. (NW) of Hilliard, Florida went home to be with our Lord on September 12, 2004, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 7, 1920 to Willie and Zona Hodges of Hilliard, the youngest of ten children.
His best friend and love of his life was Elsie Carroll Hodges. On August 31, 2004, they celebrated 64 years of marriage together. When asked about their life together, they said "they wouldn't change a thing."
They were blessed with four daughters, Eunice and Charles Haspel, Vivian and Lynwood Holley, Faye Farris, Carolyn and Mike Murphy. He was the proud Papa to Neal (Debbie) Tarkington, Bryan (Tina) Tarkington, Richard Holley, Brenton (Julie) Holley, Marcus (Nicola Terry)Holley, Justin (Tiffany) Murphy, and Rachel(Brad) Hughes.
Honorary grandchildren to cherish his memory are Lacey (Raymond) Cassidy and Caleb Bohannon. His pride and joy were his great-grandchildren; Mike and Chris Payne, Neal Tarkington, Bradley and Evan Tarkington, Kennedy,and Kerigan Murphy, Kearsten, Brealyn and Jaden Holley and Layla Cassidy. His precious and loving sister Bertha Crews, the Carroll Family and many Loving friends and family members.
He retired from the City of Jacksonville and Bug Out Pest Control. He was an active member of the Woodman of the World, Lodge 3 for over 50 years and attended Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church.
Viewing will be at the Hodges Home, 26341 Willie Hodges Road, Hilliard, Tuesday, September 14, beginning at 5:00pm. Services will be held at River Road Baptist Church at 2:00pm Wednesday, September 15, 2004 with Brother James Conner, officiating.
Interment will be at Mill Creek Cemetery, Hilliard, FL.
