A 1968 graduate of Staunton High School, Sherry worked for the Illinois Secretary of State’s office for many years prior to raising her young family. After the family relocated to St. Louis, Missouri, Sherry began a career spanning more than two decades with the Admissions Office of St. Louis Community College at Meramec, where she was lovingly known as “Mama Millner” by staff and scores of international students. Sherry happily returned to her hometown of Staunton after Butch’s retirement in 2009. Loved by all who met her, Sherry was known for her kindness, compassion, and tremendous devotion to family and extended family. A bright light to anyone who met her, Sherry loved cooking, reading, and movies, and excelled at trivia.
