Martha Fauber Conner, 85, of Faber, left her Pleasant Hill Circle home on Sunday, September 20, 2015, to be with her heavenly father. Martha was born April 19, 1930, at Roanoke, Virginia a daughter of the late Claude Raymond Fauber and Helen Nelson Landers Fauber.
Her life here on earth was first dedicated to her devoted husband of 66 years, Henry Daniel Conner and secondly to her loving children. She spent many years working as an educator in the Culpeper County Schools as well as countless hours and days with the Nelson County Rescue Squad at Faber. She was a dedicated Christian and was very active in all departments of the Rock Spring United Methodist Church at Faber. Her life was filled with service and caring interest for others before herself regardless of the time of day or night. She along with her husband Henry were often seen treating and transporting individuals for emergency treatment to all area hospitals whenever called upon to do so.
Martha is survived by her husband, Henry; and their children, Amy C. Long, Jonathan Page Conner and Daniel K. Conner (Carolyn).
She was preceded in death by a son, Mike Conner; and sisters, Grace Fauber Young, Carolyn Faber Rodriguez; and a brother, Claude Raymond "Ray"Fauber Jr.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Rock Spring United Methodist Church at Faber with Pastor Pam Baldwin officiating with interment to follow in the Rock Spring Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, from 7 until 8 p.m. at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston and suggest that memorials take the form of contributions to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Pkwy., Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911, Nelson county Rescue Squad, or the Rock Spring United Methodist Church.
