Nellie A. Teachout, 94, of Syracuse passed away at her home on Friday. Nellie was born on January 10, 1921 in Syracuse and was a life resident of the city. She retired from Muench-Kreuzer Candle Co., after many years of service. Nellie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 1832 and was an avid Yankees fan. Her husband of 70 years, Almon had predeceased her in 2012. Survivors include her daughters, Ruby (Jack) Koslowski and Mary (Tom) Scimone, all of Liverpool; her grandchildren, Debbie (Darryl) Adsit, Patty (Randy) Filippi, Matthew (Jen), Michael and Timothy Scimone. A calling hour will be held Monday, September 21, from noon to 1 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
