One of a eleven man crew lost on an anti-U Boat patrol in the Bay of Biscay, they took off from RAF Pembroke Dock, Pembrokshire, Wales. at 22:10 on the 10th June in a Sunderland III Flying Boat - Serial No. ML762, did not return when expected next day, reported shot down by German authorities after the war.
