LEWISVILLE - Mary L. Naughton, 80, died on February 16, 2009, at her home in Lewisville, NC. She was born on July 15, 1928, in Coalmont, IN. She was a graduate of Mishawaka High School in Mishawaka, IN, Class of 1946. She continued her education for two years at Indiana University. Mrs. Naughton and her family moved to Winston-Salem, NC, from Livonia, MI, thirteen years ago. She was a member of St. Leo' s Parish, a member of the Golden Club and held the office of secretary. She was an avid bridge and pinochle player. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and shopping. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joseph Michael Naughton, Jr. She is survived by her children, Barbara Naughton, Catherine Naughton, Cynthia Rooney and her husband, David, and J. Michael Naughton; two grandchildren, Michael and Caroline Rooney. A memorial service for Mrs. Naughton will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 20, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the family home at 105 Ridge Gate Court, Lewisville, NC. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.
