WINSTON-SALEM - Mr. Larry Ervin Schmidt Jr. passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born May 01, 1970 in Lakewood NJ. He graduated from Bishop McGuinness High School. He also attended Boys State. Larry graduated from High Point University and also Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville FL. He was an Assistant State Attorney (Prosecutor) for the Seventh Circuit in Florida. He was a member of the San Marco Rotary Club in Jacksonville FL. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Ervin A. Schmidt and J. Melvin Cash and grandmother Edith Woodward Cash. Survivors include his mother Catherine Cash of Winston-Salem; father Larry E. Schmidt Sr. of Tobaccoville; brothers Brant Woodward Schmidt of Winston-Salem, Aaron David Schmidt of Tampa FL; niece Reagan Emma Schmidt of East Bend; nephew Jameson Cooper Schmidt of Tampa FL; grandmother Dorothy Schmidt of Sartell MN, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 6, 2014 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Winston-Salem.
