Swiss Actor. Lausanne born Marc Michel Marrier de Lagatinerie was the son of actor Gérard Landry and comedian Jacqueline Porel. Noticed by Jean-Claude Brialy, he made his debut at eighteen years of age in Costa-Gavras's "Un homme de trop". Aided by his handsome looks, other appearances soon followed in renowned titles such as: "Le Clan des Siciliens", alongside Jean Gabin and Alain Delon; "La Horse" again with Gabin; Luchino Visconti's "Ludwig ou le Crépuscule des dieux"; "Il soldato di ventura" with Bud Spencer; Lucio Fulci's "Sette note in nero" and Mario Monicelli's "Il Marchese del Grillo" with Alberto Sordi. The death of his half-brother Jean-Pierre led him to the consumption of toxic substances with dramatic implications on both his professional and personal life soon following. Passing away while in Morocco at the early age of thirty four, his cause of death being officially listed as meningitis.
