PEKIN ~ Carol Louise Lohrenz, 67, of 2610 Willow Street in Pekin, passed away at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at her residence.

Born April 27, 1939 in Pekin to Edward and Pearl (Drockelman) Hieser, she married Donald E. Lohrenz on June 25, 1960 in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother of Pekin; one son, Darin (Sue) Lohrenz of Troy; three daughters, Denise (Gary) Stauthammer of Peoria, Deanne (Tom) Gustafson of Winnebago and Dawn (Cory) Irby of Pekin; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Edward "Buddy" (Judy) Hieser and Michael Hieser, both of Pekin and one sister, Janet Tennell of Pekin.

She was a registered nurse at Pekin Hospital for 35 years, retiring in 1995.

She was a member of Second Reformed Church in Pekin.

She was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. She also enjoyed crocheting, babysitting her grandchildren and going on fishing trips.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Ralph H. Cordes will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Second Reformed Church, 600 State Street, Pekin, IL 61554.
