Mr. Edwin Osborn Bradbury, age 68, a resident of Kinston and a former resident of New Bern went to be with his Lord & Savior Saturday August 22, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Bradbury was born in Carteret County on October 9, 1946 son of the late Edwin Harry Bradbury and the late Sara Elizabeth Baxter Bradbury. He was a graduate of New Bern High School and earned two Masters Degrees, one in education and one in music, from East Carolina University. He was a teacher and band director at Woodington Middle School. Mr. Bradbury was a member of Northwest Christian Church of Kinston where he served as music director and was a member of the Kinston Lions Club.

Survivors include two sons: William “Will” Bradbury (Donna) of Chocowinity and Lee Richard Bradbury of Kinston; a daughter: Elizabeth Jeffers (Scott) of Charlotte; a brother: Nathaniel Macon Bradbury of New Bern; a sister: Jo Ann Bradbury of Deerfield, NH and eight grandchildren: Caleb Bailey, Mason Jeffers, Hannah Bailey, David Bailey, Benjamin Jeffers, Ian Bradbury, Graceanne Jeffers and Ryan Bradbury. Mr. Bradbury was predeceased by a daughter: Kathryn Bailey and a sister: Sara Alexander.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 12, Memphis, TN 38148.
